A butterfly spotted on a recent hike.
I found a praying mantis by the dryer vent on the outside of the house. A nature study in the making! The kids came outside with an empty cottage cheese container and we relocated him to our flower garden.
I think he'll be much happier here. No lint to contend with:)
Did you know that Hobby Lobby has a pretty cool science aisle? My son b.e.g.g.e.d. me for a package of Triop eggs. The were only $4.99 and they came with food!
They hatched in a couple of days and steadily grew. We've had hours of enjoyment from these little things. They love carrots and I add a few peels every few days. Coolest $4.99 I ever spent!
